What A Difference Cropping Makes

Another in my long series of media goofs.

"PG-13" in nature. If you're easily offended, don't read this one. (On the other hand, that means if you're 13, this one's Pretty Good!)

You may have misread the title. That's cropping: how you clip off the edges in a photo.

Here's the updated version of the photo from New York's Buffalo News web site:

The original crop the newspaper used left a little to be desired:

For the visually impaired, the "C" in "Canalfest" on the marquee was obscured, which resulted in a lot of ...um... "unfortunate" comments on the newspaper's article page. Just a couple of examples:
