Socialized Medicine
When Britain first started socialized medicine, it was overwhelmed with demand.
In the first month of operation, women who went in to a National Health Service facility for pregnancy tests only got the briefest of exams.
After the exam, the doctor would take out a rubber stamp, print it upon their bellies, and move on to the next appointment.
No matter how hard they tried, the women and their husbands couldn't make out what it said.
Only after about nine months would most men finally be able to make out what the small print said:
"When you can read this clearly, rush your wife to the nearest NHS hospital."
