Life Imitates the Internet
You see it all the time online: an ad that's wildly inappropriate for the content it's next to. You can understand it on web sites, since ads are usually inserted automatically, and try to have a theme that's "relevant" to the content on the page.
But in a print newspaper?
Here's a shot of an actual newspaper page, from the San Francisco Chronicle on 17 February 2012:

For the sight impaired, the headline for the big story on the left:
Underwear bomber gets 4 life sentences
And the ad just to the right? It's from the Macy's department store, and features a close-up shot of a man ...in his underwear.
